How therapy can help

Growing up we often develop relational patterns in response to adverse life events which serve to protect us in relationship. Whilst these once kept us safe, they can become outdated and get in the way of connection and establishing meaningful and fulfilling intimate relationships in the here and now.

Unprocessed trauma can impact our physical and mental health. It can also cause us to respond to events in the present with the same intensity as the past which may feel overwhelming and confusing. Sometimes the root causes are hard to spot on your own, but there is nothing wrong with you and together we can help things make sense.

Processing your feelings in therapy and increasing awareness of how you might repeat familiar patterns can help to reduce their power over you so you can live the life that you want.

I work entirely online via the platform Zoom which offers a number of benefits, including:
